How the Vedic Meditation technique Works.

Learning the Vedic Meditation technique is really quite simple - anyone can do it successfully.

Of course the wonder of it all is not how the Vedic Meditation technique works, but that it works.

And work it does!

The technique works by using the natural tendency of the mind.

What you might ask, IS the natural tendency of the mind?

Simply stated, the natural tendency of the mind is to go to greater and greater fields of happiness. We see this tendency of the mind in our lives every day. This tendency to seek and settle upon that which is most enjoyable can be observed in our planning. We make plans and decisions that will bring, either immediately or eventually, greatest pleasure.

What the Vedic Meditation technique does, then, is to momentarily halt this outgoing barrage of thoughts, and allow the mind to choose in which direction it wants to go.

The mind, naturally going in the direction of greater and greater happiness, chooses to go within, to experience first hand the source of all relative creation.

Of course the wonder of it all is not how the Vedic Meditation technique works, but that it works. And work it does!

The exact procedure of how Vedic Meditation works is covered at the Introductory session, where it can be discussed in context of How Vedic Meditation is taught, Why it is taught that way, the prerequisites to learning, What a person does on the day of instruction and in doing so we also discuss the origins of the Vedic Meditation program.
